Participants from the Blue Sky Project Artist Residency, Woodstock Illinois

Working with youth from the surrounding community and engaging with ideas about performance and the body-in-context, we chose to work in a college gymnasium as a site for exploration. Examining its competitive and nationalist implications, and through the use of simple props, a series of performative gestures yields subtle political interpretations about the meaning of colors, fabric and space.
